We have no idea, but there is a chance that you will have the following calendar sitting in front of you. To blow the doors off the New Year, AIGA Portland, KeeganMeegan & Co, Gruppo Paper, and Oregon Engraving all came together to donate time, skill, paper, and plates for a very special pro-bono project. We are very proud that this month the AIGA Portland “Official Time Tracking Device” will be heading out into the world. This monster of production came together swimmingly. The design was painstakingly hand illustrated to scale. The color separations where completed by hand on vellum overlays. A computer was only used for scanning and platemaking. Each piece was printed, die-cut and drilled for a grommet. All together 850 complete calendars’ came out of the pressroom, having its individual parts travel through our presses for a grand total of 7,650 times. When we we’re approached to design and print a poster for his February show at Helium Comedy Club in Portland, OR, we spent countless hours doing auditory research. Our eyes, literally, stung of tears and our cheeks hurt from laughing so hard.
